My mother always wanted to become a doctor, but had no financing opportunity.

I therefore got the latest western medical treatments available. The latest vaccines. When the Hepa-B vaccine was introduced, we got it from our private doctor.
When I had childhood asthma, I got standard western medical drugs.
When I had sore throats, I'd get anti-biotics.
When I had some headaches, tylenol.
When I had cystic pimples in my teenage years, I had a dermatologist who made many injections in my face. Then she turned to giving me then experimental Roaccutane in the mid 1980s. I remember going to the country head quarters of Roche Philippines to get clearance to use that drug then.
The same dermatologist and others loaded me with steroids with my 2 year sand fly bites ordeal.
I remember in my adult years getting some undiagnosed "virus" ailments, maybe twice that had me do bedrest 1 month at a time.
The final straw for me against conventional blind pharmaceutical medicine came when I had elevated heart rate problems after my "viral" infection. My father's heart doctor could not come up with any real clue from the diagnostic exams. He prescribed beta blockers to me. This I found inexcusable as beta blockers would sabotage my erections. I was able to cure myself through water therapy.
I gained a lot of extra weight in my twenties. My peak weight was around 168 pounds. I went into a weight loss program that successfully changed my lifestyle to maintain 135 pounds. This success story belongs to a web site of its own.
